New students who enroll in one or more online courses at the beginning of the semester will be required to attend an orientation session with their parents. NEW STUDENT PARENT/STUDENT ORIENTATION IS ALWAYS THE FIRST MONDAY FOLLOWING THE FIRST DAY OF EACH SEMESTER AT 3:00 PM AT THE HIGH SCHOOL LIBRARY.
This session will review the policies and procedures of the Wellsboro Online Academy and introduce students to their online teachers. As part of the orientation process, new students will also be encouraged to complete the Blackboard Orientation course to familiarize themselves with the technologies required to access the curriculum, submit assignments and take assessments. They can access this course on their class list on Blackboard. Students (along with parents) enrolling in the middle of the semester will be required to meet with Dr. Largey, Coordinator of Online Programs or Tanya Harmon, High School Guidance counselor, to review orientation materials.
