Tracy Doughtie

Tracy and her husband, Ron,
have three boys, Peyton, RJ and James, who are students at WASD. Tracy is the
owner/director/teacher at The Forest Ridge School, which is nature-based
preschool in Wellsboro serving young learners ages 6 weeks to 5 years of age,
as well as, school age children before and after school hours and during the
summer recess. Tracy also develops and delivers professional development to
adult learners so that they can better support children and families as it
relates to child development and education. Tracy is currently enrolled in her
fourth quarter at Drexel University in the M.S. Teaching, Learning and
Curriculum program, which will lead to a PA teaching certification in PreK-4.
Prior to attending Drexel, Tracy obtained her M.Ed. in Early Childhood
Education at West Chester University in December 2016. While a student at West
Chester, she was a Michael F. Bannan Scholarship recipient for academic and
leadership achievement, as well as, commitment to the education profession.
Tracy also studied Biology and Psychology at Dickinson College and Franklin
Marshall College before receiving a bachelor's degree from West Virginia
University Institute of Technology in 2000. In addition, she studied in the
masters of business administration program at Western Carolina University.
Tracy joined the Board in January 2018.
